About This Course

This course is an overview of the fundamental analytical tools, approaches, and techniques used in designing and operating logistics systems and integrated supply chains. The material is taught from a managerial perspective, emphasizing where and how specific tools can be used to improve the overall performance of a supply chain based on various criteria.

The main topic areas we will focus on are Statistics, Optimization, Network Design, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Transportation, System Dynamics, and Data Analytics. This course intends to build the foundations for the July-August coursework at the virtual, synchronous sessions from the foremost thinkers of the GCLOG program. The GCLOG program is a hybrid educational program offered to outstanding professionals to teach state of the art in freight transportation, logistics, and SCM for emerging market economies.
