About This Course

This course overviews the fundamental analytical tools, approaches, and techniques for designing and operating logistics systems and integrated supply chains. The material is taught from a managerial perspective, emphasizing where and how specific tools can be used to improve the overall performance of a supply chain based on various criteria.

We will focus on the main topics: Statistics, Optimization, Network Design, Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Transportation, System Dynamics, and Data Analytics. This course intends to build the foundations for the July coursework at the MIT campus residential seminar from the world's foremost thinkers. The GCLOG program is a hybrid educational program offered to outstanding professionals to teach state-of-the-art freight transportation, logistics, and SCM for emerging market economies.
